Comments:
In general, males have a dark brown to black ground color with 7-8 blue vertical bars of variable width. Two blue bars on forehead. Pelvics black with a white edge. But due to the wide spread occurance of the species, different patterns can be found. Females are grey/brown. It gets its name from the relative long body.
